Halloween Treat - Mummy Oreo Balls

Leave the tricks at home, bring out this treat for Halloween!

I brought these adorable mummies into work this Halloween. What a hit! Everyone loved them and they looked great too!

I used this recipe as a starting point. All you need: (16 oz.) package of Oreo cookies, (8 oz.) package of Philadelphia 1/3 less fat cream cheese, Ghirardelli white chocolate melting wafers or bar, and candy eyes (or mini chocolate chips).

Use a food processor -- this makes life much easier -- to blend the Oreo cookies into Oreo dust. You can also try using a blender or even mash them up with a spoon, but that proves to be a lot more difficult... trust me on this.

Mix the Oreo crumbs and the cream cheese together using either a spoon or your hands. Roll into small 1-inch balls and then let cool in the fridge for an hour.

Prepare trays with a wax paper layer. Then, melt the white chocolate, dip the Oreo balls, and place on tray. Add candy eyes before white chocolate sets.

After dipping all the Oreo balls, put melted white chocolate into a plastic bag and cut a small hole in a corner. Drizzle white chocolate to make it look like a wrapped mummy.

Et voila! You have adorable Mummy Oreo Balls.
